The best ginger cookies! Perfect combination of crunchy and chewy.
Cream 1 cup sugar and 1.5 cups room temp butter
Add 1 egg as d 3tbsp dark corn syrup or molasses
In a separate bowl sift together 2 cups flour, 1 tsp baking soda, 1.5 tsp ginger, 1tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp cloves, 1/2 tsp nutmeg, 1/2 tsp salt
Add to mixer until a wet dough forms.
Roll into small balls and roll into regular sugar before baking.
We ended up not frosting these. We loved that they werent overly sweet. Very flavorful.
