This year we steamed our tamales before storing them in the freezer. I’m so happy it worked out!! These thawed/reheated in 30 min (compared to the 2-3 hours steaming/cooking from frozen)
They even separated from the husks perfectly! No explosions this year. I think we will he steaming them before freezing from now on. Definitely changed the game, super easy and filling meal.
A few days of work for many meals throughout the year.
