Can you believe I never tried Indian food until I was in college?!? Even still I feel like I forget about how good it is! A few months ago I tried my hand at making an Indian food recipe at home for the first time….and it was my first time ever cooking for a date 😬 This Butter Chicken recipe is so flavorful and will not disappoint!!

Ingredients:
Chicken Marinade-
3 Chicken Breasts
1/3 C. Greek Yogurt (Plain)
1 tsp. Garam Masala
1/2 tsp. Ground Cumin
1/2 tsp. Ground Coriander
1/2 tsp. Cayenne Pepper
1 tsp. Tumeric
2 Cloves Garlic, minced
1 tsp. Ginger Paste
Sauce-
2 C. Tomato Paste
1/2 C. Coconut Milk (or Heavy Cream)
1 tsp. Garlic Paste
1 tsp. Ginger Paste
1 tsp. Garam Masala
1 tsp. Brown Sugar
Fresh Cilantro, to garnish
Jasmine Rice
Naan Bread

Directions:
1. For best results, marinade the chicken for several hours. Combine all ingredients together is medium bowl. Cut chicken into cubes, then toss chicken in with marinade ingredients.
2. Cover the bowl and refrigerate. Let marinade for at least an hour.
3. Heat a large skillet and fry the chicken pieces on medium-heat for about 5 to 8 minutes, until cooked through.
4. Add tomato paste, garlic, ginger paste, sugar, and garam masala. Stir throughly. Continue to cook on low for 20 minutes, until sauce is reduced by a quarter.
5. Add cream, mix well and cook for another 5 minutes.
6. Prepare jasmine rice. Place chicken on top of bed of rice and garnish with fresh cilantro. Serve with warmed naan!
