Creamy Red Curry Chicken Recipe

A tasty curry recipe with a hint of fire and lots of mouthwatering flavor is Creamy Red Curry Chicken.

Along with abundance of fresh basil, cilantro, and even crushed peanuts, it also contains fish sauce, coconut milk, lime juice, and a red curry paste. This curry is incredibly delicious and simple to prepare.

Curry, an Indian spice, is colored with dried red chili peppers and frequently turmeric. It goes well with a variety of proteins, but I like it most with chicken.
It can be spicy, but if you use it sparingly, it usually offers a beautiful depth of flavor with just a touch of heat.
To make Creamy Red Curry Chicken, start with the Red Curry Paste, which is prepared by mixing shrimp paste with herbs and spices.

Ingredients:

  • One tablespoon of olive oil.
  • Two pounds of chicken thighs, sliced into half-inch pieces.
  • 3/4 cup of finely chopped onions.
  • 1 tablespoon of minced garlic.
  • 1/4 cup of red curry paste from Thailand I used the brand Mae Ploy.
  • Two 14-ounce cans of coconut milk each.
  • Three tablespoons of lime juice.
  • One tablespoon of fish sauce.
  • One tablespoon of sugar.
  • 1 teaspoon of salt.
  • Half a cup of freshly cut basil.
  • Half a cup of cilantro leaves.
  • Some chili flakes.

 

Instructions for making Red Curry Chicken Recipe

  1. Put one tablespoon of olive oil in a heavy-bottomed skillet.
  2. Cook the chicken thighs for three to five minutes on each side to brown them.
  3. Take out of the pan.
  4. After removing the chicken from the skillet, add the onions and cook for about five minutes, or until they are tender.
  5. Add the garlic and cook for about two minutes, or until fragrant.
  6. Then, add the full-fat coconut milk and curry paste.
  7. Until the coconut and paste are smooth and well combined, stir or whisk.
  8. Add the salt, sugar, fish sauce, and lime juice.
  9. Add the chicken thighs to the curry sauce after bringing to a boil. Turn down and cover to simmer.
  10. Simmer until the chicken is cooked through, about 20 minutes.
  11. Add the fresh basil and mix everything together.
  12. Add some chili flakes, and cilantro leaves as garnish.
  13. Serve with rice.
