I am smitten with my new Dash unprocessyourfood mini waffle maker! Today, I’ve been with a snow day and was dying to whip up some protein-packed, low-sugar paleo waffles. I gotta say, I enjoyed them a whole waffle lot. (Get it?) The best part is the leftovers freeze well and you can pop them in the toaster in the mornings like old school Eggo!
Here is the ratio I mixed up:
2/3 cup birchbenders paleo waffle mix
1/3 cup paleo protein powder (I used unsweetened eggwhite powder from julianbakery)
3/4 cup water or unsweetened almond milk
Drizzle of oil
Mix it all well, waffle it, and top it with whatever you’re feeling! I topped mine with unsweetened almond butter, raspberries, cacao nibs, some sliced almonds, and a drizzle of pure organic maple syrup.
