The perfect Christmas meal side dish – braised red cabbage. β¨π Here in a not so festive version with mashed potatoes and mushroom gravy. ππ½

Ingredients:
1/2 head red cabbage
1 tbsp coconut oil
1 onion
1/2 cup of water
1 tbsp maple syrup
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 apple
Method:
1. Cut your cabbage into thin slices and chop up the apple and the onion as well.
2. SautΓ© the onion in oil for about 3 minutes until translucent.
3. Add the cabbage and fry for 3 more minutes.
4. Then add water, maple, vinegar and the apple.
5. Put the lit on the pot and cook for at least 60 minutes. (I prefer to cook the cabbage for 2 hours tho).
