Easy Fried Cheese Bites

Vinkmag ad

If you’re looking for a quick, delicious snack that’s sure to be a hit, these Cheese Bites. You won’t be disappointed with a golden crispy crunch on the outside and melting gooey bliss on the inside!

These Fried Cheese Bites are a fantastic appetizer for a party or an after-school snack for children. The idea is to serve them hot so that you can enjoy all of the luscious melted cheese when it’s at its best.

The fact that you can buy a bag of mozzarella string cheese (which you may already have in the house!) and create them whenever you want makes this vegetarian dish the most convenient.

Ingredients:

Here is what you need to make Cheese Bites:

  • 10 ounces mozzarella string cheese (or 10 sticks)
  • 1 cup Italian breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup flour.
  • 2 eggs.
  • 1/4 cup milk.
  • Cayenne pepper (optional).
  • Vegetable oil for frying.

Directions:

  1. Cut your string cheese sticks into bite-sized pieces using a cutting board. Each stick should yield four or five bites.
  2.  Beat the eggs in a medium-sized bowl to ensure they are well-broken. Whisk the milk in as well to combine the two components.
  3. Now, take two bowls and place your flour in one bowl and your bread crumbs in the other. Now that you have three dishes in a row (flour, eggs, and bread crumbs).
  4. You can use a small spoon to thoroughly mix a few shakes of cayenne pepper into the bread crumbs if you want to add some spiciness to your cheese balls.
  5. Grab a single mozzarella slice. Dip it in the flour, then quickly coat it with the egg mixture. Roll the cheese nibble in the bread crumbs now. Repeat until all of the cheese pieces are breaded. When all of the pieces are done, you can arrange them on a plate.
  6.  Preheat your vegetable oil in a medium-sized skillet to 350 degrees, about 2 inches high.
  7. Put five to seven pieces in the oil for thirty seconds. Take care to keep them apart to prevent them from bonding! Though we adore the gooeyness, this is where we’re seeking for distinct pieces.
  8. Fry your mozzarella bits until they are golden brown.
  9. Serve immediately to maintain the delicate, melty texture of each bite, either with spaghetti sauce or on their own!

Serving Suggestions

  • Serve with marinara sauce, ranch dressing, or a spicy aioli as dipping sauces.
