Vinkmag ad

The combination of seasoned ground beef, tasty brown gravy, and creamy mushroom soup, all cooked gently in a Crock Pot to produce a rich, flavorful gravy, makes up this warm, comforting dish known as Crock Pot Hamburger Gravy. To generate rich tastes, the beef is browned and then combined with beef broth, onions, and garlic. It is then simmered for hours. As a consequence, you have a thick gravy that is ideal for spooning over fluffy white rice. This recipe is a great option for hectic days because it’s simple to prepare and provides a substantial supper that will satisfy everyone.

The Crock Pot Hamburger Gravy is easy to make and tastes great. This recipe is filling, simple to prepare, and ideal for a cozy dinner.

Ingredients:

  • One pound of ground hamburger beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 packet mixture of brown gravy
  • Water or 1 cup of beef broth
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • A single teaspoon of garlic powder
  • To taste, add half a teaspoon of salt
  • Half a teaspoon of black pepper
  • 2 cups fresh green beans
  • One tablespoon of cornstarch to make the gravy thicker
  • Two cups of cooked (serving) rice

Instructions:

  1. Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it apart as it cooks, until it is browned.
  2. After removing any extra fat, put the steak in the Crock Pot.
  3. Add the chopped onion, brown gravy mix, cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and green beans to the Crock Pot containing the browned ground beef.
  4. Mix everything until it’s all mixed.
  5. Cover the Crock Pot and simmer for 4–6 hours on low or 2–3 hours on high. If at all feasible, stir occasionally.
  6. If the gravy isn’t thick enough, make a slurry with the tablespoon of cornstarch and a small amount of water.
  7. 30 minutes or so before serving, stir the slurry into the Crock Pot and cook until the gravy thickens.
  8. Once the gravy is ready, serve it hot over a bed of cooked rice.

Tips:

  • For a lighter version, use ground turkey or chicken for beef.
  • Add mushrooms or peas for more vegetables.
  • Serve with a side of steamed vegetables for a full supper.
