Instructions for making Ground Beef Tacos
- Cook in a skillet over medium heat. If needed, add 1 teaspoon olive oil (or your preferred oil). Once the skillet is heated, add the ground beef and break it up with a wooden spoon.
- After that, cook, tossing and breaking up the beef often, until it starts to brown.
- Add in the cumin, paprika, garlic powder, chili powder, salt and pepper. Stir well to disperse all the seasonings. Cook until the steak is lightly browned.
- If you prefer it saucier, follow these instructions. To make it saucier, add a tablespoon of beef or vegetable stock, as well as tomato sauce.
- Combine 1 ½ tablespoons all-purpose flour, masa, or whole wheat flour with the liquid and cover. Shake for a minimum of 30 seconds. With the skillet on low heat, slowly add the slurry while stirring with a wooden spoon. Stir frequently and cook on low for about 10 minutes.
- Serve the ground beef in tacos, nachos, or salads. We advice to top it with quick pico de gallo, fresh cilantro, white cheddar cheese, sliced avocado, and pickled onions.
- Serve immediately!
How to Make Homemade Crunchy Taco Shells?
- Put a skillet on the burner that has a wide rim. Add the oil. We need roughly half an inch of oil. Bring it to 350 degrees Fahrenheit using medium heat. For this, I used a digital thermometer.
- Drop in the tortilla with tongs. To make it swell up, give it a couple taps. then keep it there for a duration of 12 to 15 seconds. After flipping, fold the tortilla in half. It should maintain its shape in this position for 12 to 15 seconds. The tortilla should maintain its shape and be evenly browned, crispy, and puffy.
- Place it on a bed of paper towels to drain. Season with a pinch of kosher salt. Season the shells with a pinch of salt. Repeat for the remaining tortillas.
