I made my first ever tart and they turned out so good!!
Strawberry and Meyer lemon custard with homemade whipped cream. For the dough I added the lemon zest and Strawberry puree that was strained from the custard. All the flavors worked so well together.
I checked out the book French Pastry Made Simple by Molly Wilkinson from my towns library, and this was the first thing I made from it.
I ed her recipes for roasted Strawberry curd (for the custard), pate sucree (the tart shells), and Chantilly cream (whipped cream) the only thing I did differently was add the contents of the strainer to the dough.
Super excited about it!
